There have been rumblings that Stewart – rated an early three-star recruit and the No.23 quarterback in the country by Scout.com - hasn't been in contact with anyone from Wisconsin's new staff yet and that he might be thinking of the possibility of de-committing. The talented quarterback goes into the latest regarding his commitment status.
"I'm committed to play for Wisconsin until I hear otherwise from the coaching staff wanting to go in a different direction," Stewart emphatically told Badger Nation. "I haven't heard from Wisconsin yet. No contact as of now. I'm a little concerned with it. I mean going from being 100 percent positive of where I wanted to go to school, to now not knowing if my offer even stands still. I have called them Monday and got no answer."
With the 6-5, 210-pound Stewart, who committed August 2 after getting his scholarship offer in June, not knowing where everything stands with him and the coaching staff, his immediate goal is to find out where he stands.
"Well, I'm going to give them another call Monday," said Stewart. "Hopefully then I can get some answers. I'd just like to know if my status with them is the same. I am not trying to de-commit and I'd like to stay committed, but if I'm not the guy they are going for that's perfectly fine, then I would just like to know."
