"It was great and the campus is just beautiful," Washington told Badger Nation. "Everyone is very welcoming and it just felt wonderful there. It is cold where I live, so it didn't matter to me. I don't mind it at all and it doesn't affect me at all.
"I will be honest with you but I can't wait to see that Jump Around. I have heard it is crazy and every one of the football players said that (they) were shocked by it their first game. I mean I have heard even the stadium starts shaking, so it will be a fun ride."
Hosted by defensive back Devin Gaulden, the 5-10, 175-pound athlete breaks down his conversation with secondary coach Bill Busch, who was his recruiting contact during the process.
"I went to the stadium and from there I got to meet all the coaches," Washington said. "Coach Busch and I talked to the most and really enjoyed it. He is a real straight guy and knows what he wants me to do and achieve. He can't wait for me to be a part of the team.
"He said there is a really good chance that I could start as a freshman, but I just have to work hard and prove myself. Everyone is competing for that spot, but we got to do what you got to do. I am just trying to score touchdowns, get interceptions and make the play."
The multi-dimensional Washington had 439 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 33 catches, and he also rushed 75 times for 697 yards and 15 touchdowns. Defensively, he wasn't challenged often but made approximately 20 tackles and had two interceptions.
"I am going to bring my speed and my work ethic," said Washington. "I will do whatever the coaches need me to do to win every single game for Wisconsin. I definitely bring swagger with my game and I like to be the man on the team with the most swagger."
