Big 12 Monday for Derricott

Continuing to haul in offers, Garden City (KS) linebacker Dvonta Derricott picks a pair of Big 12 offers on Monday.

Garden City (KS) linebacker Dvonta Derricott is quickly becoming a hot commodity on the recruiting circuit.

Having picked up over a dozen offers since March, Derricott picked up a pair of Big 12 offers Monday from Iowa State and Texas Tech.

The Cyclones and Red Raiders join Arkansas, Akron, Minnesota, Baylor, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, South Alabama, Iowa, West Virginia, Marshall, Kansas, South Florida, UAB, Wisconsin and East Carolina as schools that have offered.

He is set to graduate in December and will have three years to play two following the 2013 season.

Derricott graduated from Hermitage (VA) High School back in 2012 and was getting attention from East coast schools like Boston College, Virginia and Virginia Tech, but was unable to qualify academically.

Having playing sparingly the first four games of his freshman year, Derricott finished the season with 55 tackles and an interception for Garden City.
