Jeanty Having Dialogue with Wisconsin

Still in search of a quarterback in the 2014 recruiting class, the Wisconsin coaching staff has reached out to Miramar (FL) senior Nick Jeanty.

With Wisconsin striking out on some of its quarterback targets, the Badgers and offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig are still looking for that right fit. One of those players Wisconsin continues to evaluate is Miramar (FL) quarterback Nick Jeanty.

"I have gotten letters and spoken to Coach Ludwig and Coach Beatty from Wisconsin," Jeanty told Badger Nation. "Coach Ludwig told me that he is very interested in me. I passed the eye test and I fit the type of offense they run. Coach Betty said he would like me to visit up there. I really like the offense they run and how productive it is always. I like what I'm hearing from the coaches, but I won't know how much I like the school until I go up there to see it."

The 6-2, 190-pound signal caller has seen his recruitment pick up with having offers from Eastern Michigan, Florida A&M, Ohio, UCF and Western Kentucky. He is also receiving interest from Boston College, Florida International and Louisville.

"I got no favorites right now," said Jeanty. "As for when I might make my decision, it will either come late in the summer or during the season sometime. No later than that, though. The things that my decision will come down to is a place where I call home away from home, family type atmosphere and education."

Jeanty plans on attending camps at Miami and Florida Atlantic, but will also be hitting the rest of the Florida schools with his team. This summer will be a pivotal part to not only working on his game, but showing he can fit in at any offense.

"I play the game with confidence and with a chip on my shoulder," said Jeanty. "I work very hard at my game and think it can work with any offense. I know I would fit with the Wisconsin offense and only look forward to getting better."
