Indispensable Badger #32

Counting down the days to Wisconsin opens training camp, Badger Nation's new summer feature will rank the 50 most indispensable players of the 2013 Wisconsin football team. Today we reveal No.32.

Kyle Zuleger

Position: Safety

Experience: Redshirt Senior

2012 Stats: Playing in all 14 games, mostly on special teams. Made seven tackles.

Strengths: With the position change, Zuleger is able to showcase more of his speed without the ball in his hands. He is able to track the ball quickly and will be effective in the secondary.

Weaknesses: Zuleger has never played a game as a safety and that will show early on. His inexperience at safety will keep him behind others.

Overall: With 39 games under his belt, Zuleger knows how to play under any circumstance. Zuleger has had enough experience overall, but he will need find a way to make his mark as a safety this season, especially with the Badgers having lost two underclassmen safeties this offseason. Listed as the number two guy behind Dezmen Southward, look for Zuleger to make his mark quickly in fall camp and provide critical depth.

Up Next: After being moved around for much of his career, our No.31 player has found a home at his natural position, and will be an important part of UW's defense this season.
