Strengths: Shelton is a speedy cornerback that has incredible confidence in his abilities. He also has a nose for the football and will be a key presence this season whenever the ball is being thrown in his direction.
Weaknesses: The main weakness that seems obvious when referring to Shelton is his lack of weight. Although he is weighing more and more every week, he still lacks height and weight.
Overall: "Shelton Island" is looking to be put on display early on. Shelton is an electric cornerback that wants to make an impact sooner versus later. Shelton adapted well to Wisconsin by enrolling in the spring semester and was able to go through spring practices. That smart move improved his weight, his knowledge of the playbook and his confidence. During the Wisconsin spring game, Shelton had chances at multiple interceptions and was one of the best players on the defensive side of the ball.
Look for him to step in for plenty of reps this season as he will look to make an impact immediately.
