Senior Announces Top Ten

Continuing to narrow his list of favorites, Fort Lauderdale (FL) Boyd H. Anderson wide receiver David Senior has a top ten. Now he just needs some BCS offers.

Fort Lauderdale (FL) Boyd H. Anderson wide receiver David Senior continues to narrow down his recruitment.

After narrowing his choices to a top 15 at the end of June, the 5-10 Senior announced a top ten over the weekend of Clemson, Indiana, Massachusetts, Missouri Northern Illinois, Toledo, Utah, Utah State, Western Michigan and Wisconsin.

It appears to be an impressive offer list, but only the non-BCS schools on Senior's top 10 list have offered him.

"I've been hearing from a lot of different schools," Senior told Badger Nation. "Each school offers something different and I'll have to continue to do research and go on visits to help me make my final decision."

Although Senior doesn't hold an offer from the Badgers, he has a high interest in the school because of the amount of coaches that came from Utah State over the offseason. He also has developed a good relationship with wide receivers coach Chris Beatty.

"Even though they haven't offered me yet I think I'm close to an offer from Wisconsin," Senior said. "Beatty told me they are very interested in me as a player and that I need to be patient with an offer from Wisconsin because they are still evaluating my film."

According to Senior, him and Beatty's relationship currently isn't that close but they are starting to build their relationship.

"Coach Beatty seems like a cool guy," Senior said. "I just need to talk to him more and if we do I'm confident we will build a good relationship. When we do talk I learn what he wants out of his wide receivers. He also tells me if I came to Wisconsin how they would use me, that I could possibly play special teams and they would like to use me like West Virginia used Tavon Austin."

Senior says Indiana, Northern Illinois, Utah, and Western Michigan are recruiting him the hardest. Senior has an official visit set up to Massachusetts on September 7 and is interested in setting up a visit to Wisconsin.

"I would like to make it up to Madison because it sounds like a really cool campus," Senior said. "I want to see the new facilities that they put in that I've heard about because they sound really nice. It be fun to get up to see the atmosphere of Camp Randall during a game."

Recently attending a football camp at Alabama, getting a chance to meet former tailbacks Eddie Lacy and Trent Richardson along with Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban, Senior is starting to prepare for his final high school season.

"I want to become a better all around player with running my routes and catching the football," Senior said. "I've been mainly focusing on trying to get bigger for this season because I'm not the biggest wide receiver on the field. I also want to improve my speed. If I can improve my speed and get bigger this offseason I'll be able to absorb the hits better."
