Position: Right Tackle
Experience: Redshirt Junior
2012 Stats: Started at right tackle all 14 games of season.
Strengths: Havenstein has a dominant frame that allows him to take advantage of any situation thrown at him. Being 6-8 and 340 pounds makes him a nightmare.
Weaknesses:Havenstein mainly needs to work on his pass protection. He needs to work on this in order for the Badgers to be successful in the air.
Overall: With a monstrous frame, Havenstein doesn't get run over by opposing defenders. With his experience at the collegiate level (27 games played, 15 starts), Havenstein will be a major key if the Badgers are successful from a running standpoint this season. He will clear running lanes for James White and Melvin Gordon. Remaining healthy will be largely important considering UW is lacking quality depth at the tackle position.
Look for Havenstein to be a major contributor this season as starting right tackle. He has all the tools to make the Badgers a successful run team this season.
Up Next: With seniors graduating and a lack of experience behind him, our No.11 player will need to step up his game and remain healthy to keep UW moving forward
