Badgers First BCS Offer for Hutton

On an unofficial visit to Wisconsin Saturday, Chicago Simeon Vocational junior shooting forward Brandon Hutton picked up an offer from the Badgers.

Chicago Simeon Vocational junior shooting forward Brandon Hutton is on an unofficial visit to Wisconsin and got some good news when he found that Head Coach Bo Ryan would be extending an offer to him.

"They showed great hospitality," Hutton told BadgerNation. "I got to talk to Coach Ryan, the assistant coaches and got to see the athletic facilities. They are a great team and I was just so happy when Coach Ryan pulled me into his office told me the news. I was just so happy he had given me the offer.

"I think Coach Ryan is a successful coach and I think their play fits my style of play. It is a great school. The fan base is absolutely wonderful and is an amazing place to be. Wisconsin would be one of my choices when the time comes for me to choose a school."

The 6-4, 175-pound shooting forward talks about where his early recruitment stands and what type of player he is.

"My recruitment is going well," said Hutton. "I got offers from Illinois State, Loyola, St. Francis and now Wisconsin. I'm a hard worker and I am one of those guys that will dive on the floor for a loose ball. I play to the last second of the clock and I give it my all. My mid-range jumper is looking good and my shot has improved. Overall, I just a very solid player."
