"My whole time was great," Godfrey told BadgerNation. "It is a football town. We went to the football game and after that we meet with the coaches. I met some of the players and the next morning had a great breakfast with the coaches. I talked with Coach Andersen and Coach Beatty during my time there. Coach Andersen spoke more about the environment that I will be around if I choose Wisconsin. He told me about the great things they have to offer and the family environment they have at Wisconsin.
"It was a little bit better than what I was expecting the visit to be. I didn't know how crazy the fans were for their football team, but I saw it and it was nice. I got the full experience of a Wisconsin gameday like seeing the ‘Jump Around.' The ‘Jump Around' is very exciting and the full stadium was crazy once the song started. I had a great time. They showed me what Wisconsin is all about and that whole town supports that football team, so it is a great thing."
Godfrey was not the only prospect on hand to take in this game and talks about who he all got to talk to during his time and how they felt about Madison.
"I spoke to one Wisconsin commit in Jaden Gault and also Joe Mixon and Jamil Kamara," said Godfrey. "Everybody was saying the same thing, like it is a great football town and a lot of us had a lot of fun."
The 6-0, 180-pound three-star safety - ranked No. 116 safety in the country by Fox Sports Next - is still wanting to go through the process, but has the Badgers firmly planted in his top three
"I would rate this visit a 9 out of 10 just because I haven't been on any other visits with this being my first one, so I can't compare it to any other visits," said Godfrey. "I will be able to tell you once I take my other official visits and see what they have to offer.
