The 6-1, 200-pound athlete is not budging when it comes to narrowing down his list. Beal is staying concentrated on his 5-1 season, and will not start cutting down the list until after his final game.
When asked if he's had to dodge any calls from coaches? Beal laughed and said, "Well, a little bit." After a long pause he went on to say, "I really am staying focused on this season and on my team. I have already improved on my route running. I do try to talk to the coaches every now and then."
While it may be difficult for coaches to actually talk to the senior wide out, it doesn't mean the recruiting has stopped. Beal mentioned Kansas State, UCF and Wisconsin are the three schools recruiting him the most.
A major part of the decision making process for Beal is his education, maybe even more so then football. Beal plans to major in engineering and play football at the best school that fits both criteria.
"My mom and my step-dad are taking a big part in this decision, and they're focused on me getting a good education," said Beal.
Like many other recruits, Beal doesn't have a same date for when he will commit, but he does know that Kansas State, Missouri and Wisconsin fit the criteria he's looking for with school and football. The wide out has yet to take his five official visits, but it wouldn't be a surprise if the three schools made it on his list of travel plans.
"I have been on a lot of unofficial visits, and one school I would like to see more of is Missouri," said Beal. "I didn't expect the campus to be so nice. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere but the campus jumps right out at you.
"Also, I like Wisconsin, even though they tend to run a pro-style offense. When the receiver touches the ball it doesn't matter what they run, because it's usually for a big play. When it comes to Kansas State, I really like how they spread the ball around."
The three schools refuse to give up on recruiting Beal, and that includes their players. Those who already committed to Kansas State and Wisconsin are also trying to give the receiver their best recruiting pitches.
"(Wisconsin quarterback commit) D.J. Gillins follows me on Twitter and tries to recruit me, and a lot of players from Kansas State talk to me about playing with them like (Kansas State running back commit) Dalvin Warmack," said Beal.
