Wisconsin made the first cut and is in great shape to make the second. After already taking official visits to Iowa State on September 14 and Indiana on September 21, Young plans to make an official visit to Wisconsin following the completion of his senior season.
"I'll definitely visit Wisconsin in the offseason, but I don't know what exact date yet," Young told Badger Nation. "I chose Wisconsin as one of my officials because of the great history that they have with going to the Rose Bowl.
"The Badgers' two loses so far don't really count in my opinion. The Ohio State one was a good matchup, and the Arizona State one, well they were cheated out of that game. I just like how they play hard no matter what."
Although busy with a 6-1 season, Young can't help put root for the teams he may be playing at next year, especially since he still catches himself daydreaming about what's ahead.
"When I'm watching the games, I think about myself possibly being out there next year," said Young, who has 15 catches for 323 yards on the season. "I think about it all the time. I picture seeing myself in that uniform. I imagine myself playing for a certain team and their coaching staff.
"It excites me that every day because it's getting closer and closer to me signing that paper to one of these schools. It's confusing at times, because I feel like the schools I have offers from I can actually go in and make an impact early. It makes it hard to choose."
A three-star recruit and the No.129 receiver by Fox Sports Next, Young doesn't have a list of favorites, but there is a common theme between some of the schools he appears to like the most. He mentioned Indiana, Iowa State, Wisconsin and even gave Utah credit for coming back into the picture.
"My coach calls me a ‘blood,' because all the schools I really like are red," laughed Young.
Young will not make a final decision until after all five officials, one of his mother's rules, and he has no problem standing by it. Indiana and Iowa State already both left good impressions. According to Young, he "loved" Indiana and "liked" Iowa State. Now it's up to Wisconsin to "wow" the recruit.
