"Actually when I first started talking to coach Beatty, he said that my film was worthy of an offer, but he just wanted to meet me in person first," Jamerson told Badger Nation. "I kind of expected an offer would come from Wisconsin, but when he called and offered me after coming to our practice, it was extremely exciting."
Jamerson is still "jumping around" about his latest offer from Wisconsin. It's the first BCS offer for the 6-0, 175-pound senior wide out, who also has offers from Florida International, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Weber State and UAB. Adding the Badgers to the list of offers was a moment he is certain to remember.
"It was very, very exciting to get the Wisconsin offer, because that's a Big Ten school and the Badgers are on TV every Saturday," said Jamerson. "Beatty said I would be on the receiving team for them and fielding returns. He mentioned how they need more speed and that their top receiver is leaving soon, so they need someone like me to step up."
Jamerson is interested enough in Beatty's and the Badgers' recruiting pitch that he already schedule an official visit to Madison for the Indiana game on November 16. With his senior season about to wrap up next week, Jamerson has no set plans for any other official visits.
The senior wide out and current county leader in receiving has only taken one official visit to Old Dominion so far.
While he still has some planning to do for his other three official visits, Jamerson is putting his plans on pause for now and celebrating his latest big offer with his family.
"My mom was really excited and when I got off the phone with coach Beatty I went right down to tell her, and we we're both ecstatic," said Jamerson. "This offer is on a whole different level."
