Maxwell Happy to Be a Badger

One of several official visitors on Wisconsin's campus over the weekend, Greendale (WI) offensive lineman, and Badgers commit, Jacob Maxwell recaps his weekend at his future school.

Wisconsin had 11 of its commits on campus for their official visit, spending time watching UW hockey, UW basketball and attending the football banquet. Greendale (WI) senior offensive tackle Jacob Maxwell was one of them, and talks about how his time in Madison went and his conversation with offensive line coach T.J. Woods.

"My official visit went great," Maxwell told BadgerNation. "I liked how all the in-state commits were able to get closer and build a friendship that is going to last a long time.

"I got a chance to talk to all the coaches, but I talked to Coach Woods more than anyone. He said that we have the opportunity to be the best offensive line in the country. We just have to take hold of that opportunity and work hard to get there."

The 6-7, 290-pound offensive tackle was hosted during his time at Wisconsin by current Badgers offensive lineman Aidan McNamara and is getting excited for his opportunity to compete with the group this summer.

"I had a great time with (Aidan) and the other in-state recruits and freshmen," said Maxwell. "I got to meet a lot of players already on the team, which was a great opportunity. I just can't wait to be a Badger."
