Badgers Offer Maryland Brothers

After landing a pair of Maryland teammates in the 2014 recruiting class, Wisconsin is back in the Old Line State trying to land another pair of teammates and twins, offering Reisterstown (MD) Franklin in junior safety Jacquez Adams and wide receiver Jordan Adams.

With the 2014 class all done, Wisconsin has turned its recruiting attention towards next year's class. After signing a pair of highly-regarded Maryland prospects in 2013, the Badgers offered a pair of brothers from Reisterstown (MD) Franklin in junior safety Jacquez Adams and wide receiver Jordan Adams.

"I found out about the Wisconsin by my dad calling me and told me," Jacquez Adams told BadgerNation. "My coach then texted me and said you have an offer from Wisconsin. I was pumped and excited because my brother got an offer as well, so it was a great experience. The offer was a little out of the blue because I didn't know they were that interested because my brother got mail from them."

The 6-0, 170-pound safety is an early three-star recruit by and also holds an offer from West Virginia. While Jacquez knows a little about the school's academics and success, the big thing he knows about the Badgers is that one of his friends – Dematha Catholic wide receiver Chris Jones – is going to be a freshman at UW this fall.

"I also know Russell Wilson went there and my friend Chris Jones is going there," Jacquez Adams said. "I am good friends with Chris and we train all the time together. He does talk about Wisconsin to me by saying like it's a great environment up there, the people are cool and he can't wait to go up there."

Getting recruiting by Wisconsin as a safety, Jacquez Adams passed for over 2,800 yards and 32 touchdowns while running for 879 yards and 14 touchdowns, earning all-state honors during his junior year.

The brothers plan to visit West Virginia at the end of the month, but also plan a visit to Madison in the future.

"No doubt I plan on visiting Wisconsin in the future," Jacquez Adams said. "My recruiting is going well actually and hopefully more offers come. West Virginia stands out right now and I'm going to their junior day the 22nd. I am just working hard to keep my recruitment going up."
