Cronkrite Quickly Impresses Wisconsin

Wisconsin has a history of evaluating, recruiting and signing top-end running backs. So when the Badgers coaching staff watched only a couple plays on film on Miami Westminster Christian School junior Jordan Cronkrite, they were sold.

One of the most competitive states in the nation in terms of college football recruiting is Florida, which produces tons of top talent year in and year out. Wisconsin new coaching staff certainly recognizes the speed in the state after signing seven natives in the 2014 recruiting class and has stayed aggressive in 2015, including offered one of best running backs in the state in Miami Westminster Christian School junior Jordan Cronkrite Monday.

"I found out about the offer when I called Coach Beatty and he told me," Cronkrite told BadgerNation. "I just met him today when he hit me up on Facebook, but he seems pretty cool. They watched about four plays of my film and they were sold. I'm always happy when I get a new offer, so this one was no different."

The 5-11, 189-pound runner is no stranger to the recruiting process. A four-star recruit and the No.29 tailback in the country by Scout.com, Cronkrite holds around two dozen offers. While he is somewhat familiar with the Badgers, Cronkrite doesn't know if he will visit just yet.

"What I know of Wisconsin is the good running back success they had in the past," said Cronkrite. "Other than that nothing more really. As far as a visit there, I'm not sure yet. I don't have a top list or anything yet. It is crazy with all these schools coming from all over."
