Badgers in Touch with Femi-Cole

In addition to recruiting the south and parts of the East Coast, running back coach Thomas Brown is in charge of finding the next great running back at Wisconsin. Could that guy be Aurora (ON) St. Andrew's College junior Jonathan Femi-Cole?

New Wisconsin running backs coach Thomas Brown has really been recruiting hard in his first few weeks on the job, and has taken the approach of this coaching staff to go anywhere to find talent even if that means north of the border.

Wisconsin has made contact with Aurora (ON) St. Andrew's College running back Jonathan Femi-Cole and he talks about his interest in the Badgers.

"I have heard from Wisconsin," Femi-Cole told BadgerNation. "My coach from my 7-on-7 team is in close contact with Coach Brown. He has been saying that they love my film and are interested in me. I know Wisconsin has had success in their backfield with players like Montee Ball and I like that."

The 6-0, 220-pound tailback has offers from Buffalo and Minnesota, but is hearing from Michigan State, Ohio State, Nebraska, Nevada and Rutgers. What would it mean if he were to land an offer from the Badgers?

"It would make me feel very fortunate to have a big time school like Wisconsin recognize my potential and what I'm able to do," said Femi-Cole. "I would also be interested in visiting them."

Femi-Cole rushed for about 1,300 yards last season and had 15 touchdowns.

"I would describe myself as a north south runner, said Femi-Cole. "I can make defender miss in the open field with the vision to read the line and speed to cut it to the sidelines. I did well last season."
