"My coach texted me in class and told me that I got a Wisconsin offer," Lawrence told BadgerNation. "They view me as one of their top defensive backs prospects and I was really, really excited when he told me that. I know Russell Wilson from the world champs went there. He is a very good player and I know they have sent a lot of players to the NFL. I really like Wisconsin."
"I do plan on visiting Wisconsin. I am going to take my first visit up there. I will set up that visit when I talk to the coach."
Despite the offer from the Badgers, the 6-0, 170-pound defensive back has the Thundering Herd on top for his services.
"Marshall is sticking out to me," said Lawrence. "They are my leader and I talk to them like every week. The coaches show me very good love and Randy Moss went there, so I look up to him."
Lawrence was all over the field by recording 71 tackles, four interceptions and three fumble recoveries, one of which he returned for 88 yards. He also contributed 650 yards on kick returns and another 50 yards on punt returns. Still, he is looking to show the best of the best that he right up there with them.
"My past season went really good and look forward to going undefeated next season," said Lawrence. "I did very good this year and I would describe myself as better than some of the elite players that are out here that are ranked, but I really don't look at that and more of just look at me playing the sport I love."
