"Coach Thomas Brown called me and told me they was (sic) offering me a scholarship and I was shocked and really surprised," Hardman told BadgerNation. "It's huge knowing that Wisconsin seen something in me that no other school has yet with them offering me first. I have been in contact with Wisconsin not that long, like maybe a week in a half or two weeks at the most."
Brown has had a hand in offering 16 players in the state of Georgia, including reaching out to a number of other prospects since coming aboard in late February. Having playing at the University of Georgia and recruiting the state last year for Marshall, Brown is starting to educate Georgia high schoolers on his new employer.
"After talking to Coach Brown I learned that Wisconsin is a great academic school, which I look for most in a school," said Hardman. "He also told me they are recruiting me as an athlete, but he said I'll end up at defensive back and kick/punt returner."
The 5-11, 170-pound Hardman understands it is very early in the process, but he is already starting to nail down some visits, including one to Madison.
"My recruitment is going good," said Hardman. "I am not hearing from nobody really. Just Georgia Tech, they are on me hard. I have also set a date to visit Wisconsin on June 15."
