Meet the Parents

Arguably the biggest recruit on campus for Wisconsin during its annual spring game, Hartland (WI) Arrowhead sophomore Ben Bredeson brought his parents on the trip to interact with the Badgers coaching staff.

Wisconsin held its annual spring game while the Badgers had many visitors come in to take in the action, the most notable of the group was Hartland (WI) Arrowhead sophomore offensive tackle Ben Bredeson.

"The visit was amazing," Bredeson told BadgerNation. "I had a great time. When I got there, I just visited with some of the coaches and then ate lunch. After that, I took a tour of the stadium and the academic areas and then watched the game."

The 6-5, 270-pound tackle, who is already an early four-star recruit to Scout, already holds offers from Michigan, Iowa State, Tennessee and Wisconsin. The Badgers offered Bredeson in early March and has been a frequent visitor to campus, but finally brought his parents to meet the coaching staff for the first time.

"I talked to Coach Woods and Coach Oglesby and there was some football talk, but more small talk and just catching up," said Bredeson. "I also talked to Coach Andersen and Coach Strickland and that was all just small talk as well. They met my parents for the first time. They loved all the coaches. Both my parents agreed that Coach Anderson was a class act and thought very highly of him.

"I asked my mom if she would be comfortable sending me there. She said after meeting Coach Andersen and Coach Woods she would. That's big considering they're going to be a big part in my decision."

Bredeson has spring break next week and will be visiting Michigan, Ohio State and Tennessee over that time.
