Stong Wisconsin Feelings

Oak Creek (WI) defensive back Elijah Strong recaps his unofficial visit to Wisconsin for the Badgers' spring game on Saturday.

The Badgers hosted several in-state prospects this weekend for their annual spring game and Oak Creek (WI) junior safety Elijah Strong was one who made the short drive to UW's campus to get a close look at the program.

"The visit was great," Strong told BadgerNation. "I got to watch the spring game and talk with Coach Strickland one on one. Basically, we just talked about coming to camp. He also told me that he'd be visiting my school sometime in May and then again in June to watch me workout. Other than that, I just got to watch the spring game and experience the atmosphere."

Being primary recruited by secondary coach Ben Strickland, the 6-0, 170-pound defensive back focused more on the surrounding atmosphere than on any one specific position, which has him excited for the possibility of playing for the Badgers.

"It was a beautiful day and it was great to see all of the kids lining up to see the players sign all of their stuff," said Strong. "To see how much those kids looked up to the players, it was amazing. The people in Madison really take football serious and that's what made the game so great. One thing for sure, I will be back to Madison in the future. Hopefully, it will result in me wearing the Badger uniform and playing in Camp Randall."

Strong doesn't have any imminent visits scheduled, but plans to attend camps at Iowa State, Michigan State, Northwestern and Wisconsin.
