Top of the List

Needing to add talented wide receiver to its program to reinvigorate the depth, Wisconsin has targeted St Petersburg (FL) Lakewood junior Ryan Davis as one of the main guys in 2015.

Wisconsin last year dipped into the Sunshine State and signed seven recruits. Now the Badgers are looking to pick up where they left off, as defensive coordinator Dave Aranda extended the latest Florida offer to out St Petersburg (FL) Lakewood junior wide receiver Ryan Davis.

"Coach Aranda wrote to me on Twitter and told me to call him," Davis told BadgerNation. "We were talking and said they were officially offering me and that the head coach said I'm #1 on their board, so I was excited. It felt great and special for someone to have me at the top. I don't know too much really about them, but I love what they're doing and I got high interest in them."

The 5-11, 160-pound shifty and speedy wide out is the No. 35 ranked wide receiver in the country and a four-star recruit by Scout. Along with analyzing the 19 offers he has to date, Davis is focused on preparing for next season and is in no rush with his recruitment.

"My recruitment is going great and I got so many offers, I can't even name them all," said Davis. "I don't have a top list or visits coming up yet."

As the team's quarterback last season, Davis accounted for over 2,000 passing yards and 800 rushing yards, while throwing for 24 touchdowns and rushing for 10 touchdowns.
