The 6-foot-5, 280-pound junior admits he was disappointed about that, but today, the Badgers came through with an offer, one that he says he is "beyond excited" about.
"They told my head coach to call today and they said two more spots opened up for the offensive line and they were really looking forward to me coming to camp, but then after Coach Andersen watched my film, they wanted to offer me. I had gotten done training at HYPE and I called Coach Genyk and he told me to pull over, so I pulled over in a Starbucks parking lot and he offered me."
Having been to Madison and had plenty of contact with the Badgers, Moorman holds this offer in high regard.
"I'm speechless. I'm beyond honored and I'm really really pumped. I'll be up there for camp June 15 and maybe before that, make a weekend out of it and see everybody before camp. I took a visit already and loved the place."
The rest of Moorman's camp schedule is up in the air. He is likely to attend this month's Elite Big Man Camp. Then it's off to the college camps.
If other schools offer, will Wisconsin be in high consideration still?
"Yes, they will be for sure."
