One of the players who has had a breakout spring is Brevin Pritzl. The 6-foot-3 guard has made a major impression at multiple events, and now big time offers and interest are starting to come his way.
"It's been really interesting," said Pritzl of the uptick in interest. "Personally I never thought it would be like this. My dream has always been to play college basketball, but getting the interest at this kind of level has been kind of crazy."
Running with the Wisconsin Playground Warriors, Pritzl has shown improved athleticism as well as the ability to be a knockdown shooter with some game going to the rim as well. Now the recruiting attention is beginning to follow.
He continued, "I will be visiting Michigan this weekend, and then next week I will visit both Wisconsin and Marquette."
While Michigan hasn't offered, Pritzl likes what the program has to offer and is looking forward to getting down to Ann Arbor.
"Personally I like the style that Michigan plays," said Pritzl. "I like Nik Stauskas and Caris LeVert. Neither of those guys were highly recruited players and look at them now, Stauskas might be a lottery pick."
When it comes to the two major in-state programs, Pritzl is excited to see both pick up the interest.
"Marquette is an in-state school and that is always intriguing," said Pritzl. "Also Coach Wojo is a great guy who I think will be a great coach."
About Wisconsin, Pritzl said, "The Badgers just have that appeal. They are the school in the state of Wisconsin, and I have been getting to know Coach (Bo) Ryan, Coach (Greg) Gard, and Coach (Gary) Close, and it is great to hear from them."
One school that Pritzl has visited is Xavier, and he liked what he saw when he was on campus.
"I really like Xavier," explained Pritzl. "I visited early in the year and I really liked the campus. It is a smaller campus and not a huge spread out campus which I think is neat."
Currently Pritzl is a three-star prospect, but he should see a bump in his rating the next time the rankings are updated.
