Rick Wade is a long, athletic defensive end who shows up very well on film. At 6-foot-6, 230 pounds, Wade is very physical player who uses his hands well and can explode off the line.
He was a 1st team all-Trinity League selection, in what was arguably the state's toughest league. He's physically very strong, can get off blocks and as he continues to fill out his frame and add even more size, he has a chance to be a very good player at the next level.
"Wisconsin visited me at our school Thursday and then offered," Wade said. "I have a lot of interest in them but right now, I'm trying to keep all my options open. I'm not ready to narrow my list down or anything and I'm still trying to figure out where I'll camp and visit this summer.
"I know I'll attend the USC and UCLA camps because they're local but I don't know about the rest right now. At the end of the summer, then I'll look at all the schools that have offered and I'll be able to figure out where I want to officially visit. It's early for me and I have a lot of time so I'm in no rush to do anything right now."
Wade had 67 tackles and 3.5 sacks as a junior last season.
