The Badger coaching staff has not been afraid to target some of the most elite prospects in the nation and recently extended an offer out to Homerville (GA) Clinch County's highly-regarded sophomore defensive end Chauncey Manac.
"My coach told me that day about the Wisconsin offer and I was excited because they have a really good program," Manac told BadgerNation. "The offer was definitely a surprise. I'm interested in them, but I just need to visit the school and get a feel of how they do things there first. I'm supposed to be going this summer to visit.
"I just know that they have a good program like defensive wise. I really like their team so far."
The 6-3, 226-pound end is an early four-star prospect by Scout.com and holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Miami FL, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and now Wisconsin. He is still in the process of figuring out where he would like to visit this summer.
"My recruitment is going great," said Manac. "I don't really a top list or anything. I do plan on visiting schools during the summer, but I have to find out which ones."
