Loganville (GA) Grayson linebacker Mohamed Barry has an offer from NC State but he says the Pack's interest has been off and on and he wants to hear more from the coaches before deciding on a potential visit to Raleigh.
Barry has spoken about NC State in the past and he is not ruling the school out now. But as he's making and revealing his summer plans, Barry hasn't put a trip to NC State on the calendar just yet.
There's a reason for that.
"I've been talking to them and all that but right now I'm really just taking visits to the schools I feel like are recruiting me the hardest and showing me the most love right now. The linebackers coach (at State) wants me I feel like. Coach Ryan Nielsen, he is a good guy. He's cool, I've got to say that. We talk sometimes. There were times we didn't talk so much and I had to reach out to him to see what's up. That's been our relationship. But when we do talk he's been cool.
"If I'm going to visit up there I would like the defensive coordinator and everybody reaching out to me. I don't hear from them like the other schools that have been recruiting me. For me to take a visit you've got to get your parents off work. That's tough to do if you're not trying to pursue me all the time."
Barry said he hears more from South Florida, Wisconsin and Syracuse. He will visit those schools on June 6, June 16 and June 21.
He said he would be willing to visit NC State if they start talking to him as often as the other schools he is planning to visit.
"I will commit at the end of the summer but my recruiting will not be finished. The team I pick will just be the one I'm in love with at that time. I'll still take my five official visits."
