Badgers Land Texas Duo

Hours after Dallas South Oak Cliff cornerback Takadrae Williams made his commitment to Wisconsin, his teammate, cornerback X'zavien Ausborne, decided to join him in Madison.

MADISON - The University of Wisconsin went five-and-a-half years between landing Texas commits. They didn't have to wait much longer to land a second one.

A couple hours after Dallas South Oak Hill cornerback Takadrae Williams committed to Wisconsin, his teammate, X'zavien Ausborne, pledged to the Badgers 2015 signing class.

The duo are the seventh and eighth players to commit to Wisconsin and the first two defensive backs.

Losing five cornerbacks in the next two recruiting cycles, not to mention three defensive backs, the Badgers have added a pair of raw talented players into their program.

Both players were offered by the Badgers in early May and both said Wisconsin was at the top of their respective lists.

"I just really like the program," Ausborne said previously. "I like (Coach Busch) and I like the defense."

The 5-10, 170-pound Ausborne picked Wisconsin over an offer from Louisville and a track offer from Ole Miss. He finished with 26 tackles and one interception last season and reports a 4.29 40-yard dash time.

BadgerNation will have more on these commitments shortly
