"Tennessee has moved up to one of the schools highest on my list," said Denson. "Everyone was so laid back and cool -- it was nice. I went up there my ninth grade year and a lot has changed. It is a whole new coaching staff and I wasn't expecting it to be like it was."
The Volunteers are recruiting Denson, a 6-foot, 207 pound athlete out of Lagrange, Ga. like him as a running back.
One of the things he likes about UT is how he could see himself being successful at that position.
"I can see myself playing in the Tennessee offense. They seem to really liked me [at running back].
"Tennessee was the first SEC school to believe at this level, so it is such a blessing. The staff shows a lot of love and I get that family-feel from the coaches."
Butch Jones and his Vols are not the only school high on Denson's list. UT is joined by a school in the ACC a little over 300 miles to the east of their campus.
"North Carolina and Tennessee are the two schools that are up there," said Denson. "I really like the same thing about North Carolina that I like about Tennessee.
"The only thing different is the position they want me to play -- they want me as a safety."
Position does not matter to the three-star on Scout. He is just looking for the right fit for him on and off the field.
Denson plans to take his time and he does not see a decision in the near future.
"I just plan on going through the process and not rushing it."
