Ruzek Gets Positive Feedback

Hoping to be the next in-state player to earn a scholarship offer, Stevens Point defensive end Andrew Ruzek gets positive feedback from defensive line coach Chad Kauha'aha'a and the rest of the Wisconsin staff.

Stevens Point (WI) senior defensive end Andrew Ruzek was one of the top standouts at Wisconsin's one day elite camp this past weekend and he talks about his performance and his conversation with defensive line coach Chad Kauha'aha'a.

"It was great," Ruzek told BadgerNation. "It was awesome to work with Coach Chad and the rest of the staff again and being able to test out in front of them, so it was a great opportunity. Coach Chad said I'm one of their higher recruits and they are very interested. He wants to see me dominate in the run game in the fall."

The 6-6, 240-pound edge rusher – currently ranked a three-star recruit by - showed great size and length, along with demonstrating his ability to get around the offensive lineman at the camp. Learning more skills during his experience, Ruzek is even more interested in Wisconsin.

"I learned a lot about shedding blockers and how to stop the run in primary and secondary gaps," said Ruzek. "I think they have a great coaching staff and an outstanding program. If I get an opportunity to play at Wisconsin, it'll be in my top list of schools."

Ruzek will be camping at Minnesota on Sunday and possibly Harvard and Princeton in July.
