Badgers Jump in on Warren

Looking for a second tailback in the 2015 recruiting class, the University of Wisconsin extended an offer to one of the nation's 10 best running backs - Rockwall (TX) tailback Chris Warren - on Friday.

After securing one workhorse tailback in the state of Texas in Missouri City three-star prospect Davon Crookshank, Wisconsin is staying active with the state’s tailbacks after offering Rockwall (TX) senior running back Chris Warren Friday.

“I was just coming back from my Stanford visit and my head coach told me about the offer,” Warren told BadgerNation. “I was humbled that I would still get any offers at all. I’m excited and thankful for the opportunity. Wisconsin has a history of recruiting a lot of runners, and I think Wisconsin is a great program that still has potential.”

At 6-2 and 220 pounds, Warren is a physical tailback who is rated a four-star recruit and the No.10 running back in the nation by Most of the country’s top football programs are after the young phenom’s services, so did the Badgers join the party too late?

“I have to research them now,” said Warren. “Maybe if it was earlier in the process I would more have interest, but it’s kind of late, so I need to see statistics about the school before any moves are made. I do think I could fit into their offense. I don’t exactly know how I would fit a visit into my schedule right now.”

At the moment, Warren doesn’t have a top list and has a few visits coming up on his agenda to Oregon and Washington in the next week.
