Following a win over nationally ranked Jacksonville Trinity Christian, Buford, Georgia athlete Joshua Thomas talked about the schools he’s looking at before making his college choice.

Joshua has narrowed his list of offers to four schools. "They are Missouri, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and Ohio State."

Thomas talked about what he liked about each of those four schools.

Missouri – “They want me as a running back in their offense. One thing I like about them is that they have recruited Gwinnett County real hard and have four players on the team already. I could go in and feel like I have some close teammates that I have bonded with in the past. Plus, I like the offense they run. They are playing good football right now.”

Georgia Tech – “They want me as a running back which is the position I'd like to play. I want to major in Bio-Medical Engineering and they have one of the best bio-medical degrees in the country. They will have a big need for B-Backs and that is something you have to look at. I like that they run the ball a lot. I have a real good relationship with Coach (Ted) Roof."

Tennessee – “They are a great school in all sports. The facilities are great. They also have two commits from Buford in Austin Smith and Quay Picou and that is something that I like. I would have two teammates with me if I decided on Tennessee.

Ohio State – “They have a great coach in Urban Meyer. He really knows his football. It is just a real good school that always has a great record and has great players on the field."

Now that Thomas has narrowed his list of offers he will start taking visits to those four schools. “I have plans to go to Georgia Tech for their opener at the end of this month.” Joshua hasn’t decided if he’ll take unofficial visits or wait to take official visits before he makes his decision. “Right now I am concentrating on my senior year. We want to go out as state champs.”
