Borland Enjoys Wisconsin Trip

The top uncommitted prospect at Wisconsin's home opener Saturday, Bolingbrook (IL) junior outside linebacker Tuf Borland is hopeful to schedule another trip to Madison.

MADISON - One of the top prospects on hand to watch Wisconsin’s home opener was Bolingbrook (IL) junior outside linebacker Tuf Borland, one of the top Midwest players on the Badgers’ recruiting board for next season.

“The visit went well,” Borland told BadgerNation. “I got to get a look at the academic side of Wisconsin as well as the game day atmosphere. I talked to Coach (T.J.) Woods, the recruiter for my area and the recruiting coordinator. They said they are very interested and excited about me and will be down to watch a game soon.”

The 6-1, 200-pound Borland is already considered one of the best in the Midwest - being ranked the No. 17 ranked outside linebacker in the nation and a four-star recruit by Scout.com. While many programs are pursuing him, including early offers from Illinois and Massachusetts, he feels one school is currently sticking out for him.

“I am very interested in Wisconsin,” said Borland. “They are up there on the top of my list. The leader right now would be Wisconsin. I love it up there. The academics, football, social life and everything about it. My favorite part was being able to walk on the field before the game. The atmosphere of around the stadium is unreal.”

“I had a great time today. Hopefully, I’ll be back soon.”
