Thomas Brown Impresses Bryant

One of five schools he says is recruiting him the hardest, Wisconsin and running back coach Thomas Brown makes an impression on St. Louis Christian Brothers College junior running back Tre Bryant.

One of the farthest visitors to make it into Madison over the weekend was St. Louis Christian Brothers College junior running back Tre Bryant.

“The visit was great,” Bryant told BadgerNation. “We were able to take a look at the weight room, as well as go on the field for pre-game warmups. I talked with the running back coach in Coach Brown. We basically talked about recruiting and what he looks for in a back, He said he looks forward to seeing more of me and will try to visit in the spring. I enjoyed the experience and that they have amazing fans.”

The 5-10, 190-pound speedy tailback got to see a lot of what the Badgers have to offer, but his favorite part of the whole trip was chatting it up with the young and energetic running back coach Thomas Brown.

“My favorite part of the visit was getting a chance to talk with Coach Brown,” said Bryant. “That was my favorite part because it showed that Coach Brown and Wisconsin are truly interested in me as a prospect.

“Coach Brown is a stand-up guy. I can tell he really takes pride in working his running backs hard so they can reach full potential. I am really interested in Wisconsin, but all of my interested are on the same level as of right now.”

At this early point in the recruiting process, Bryant says the five schools that have been recruiting him the hardest are Illinois, Iowa, Notre Dame, Purdue and the Badgers.
