Dietzen Makes Another Madison Stop

Joining several other commits for Wisconsin's thorough victory over Nebraska, Seymour (WI) offensive lineman Jon Dietzen left Madison pumped after the big Badgers win.

One of Wisconsin’s highest rated commitments in its highly ranked recruiting class is Seymour (WI) senior offensive tackle Jon Dietzen. The mammoth in-state lineman has been on campus numerous times and headed back over to Madison this past weekend to watch his future school crush Nebraska.

“It went really well,” Dietzen told BadgerNation. “We got to check out the locker room after a big win, and it was pretty special. Everybody was pumped, even the other recruits.”

The 6-5, 305-pound tackles sits as the No. 13 offensive tackle in the nation and a four-star by Scout, but he wasn’t the only highly-sought-after prospect there on the weekend. Dietzen details the vibe he was getting from other prospects during his time there.

“I talked with David Moorman, and we were both pretty excited,” said Dietzen. “I also talked to Jalen Merrick a little bit and he seemed to like Madison. I was also talking to in-state guys Bryce Monti and Jake Whalen, who I know pretty well. I don’t think any of the recruits were unhappy with the visit.”

Dietzen received first-team All-State honors by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Monday.
