The biggest official visitor on campus this weekend was Seymour (Wisc.) senior offensive tackle and Badger commit, Jon Dietzen. The highly touted in-state discusses how his visit went and the message he received from the coaching staff as well.
“It went extremely well,” Dietzen told BadgerNation. “(David) Pfaff, (Zack) Baun and I got to tour all of the facilities again and get more of an in-depth feel for everything. We got to watch the last half of practice as well. I talked to Coach Strickland, Coach Woods and Coach Oglesby quite a bit. They all assured me no matter what happens that I’m going to be in good hands with Wisconsin.”
The 6-5, 305-pound tackle sits No. 14 offensive tackle in the nation and a four star recruit had some concerns heading into his visit, but had his worries put to rest.
“I was worried how I would get along with whoever they choose to hire and if Wisconsin would skip a beat,” said Dietzen. “Barry Alvarez let us know he will hire someone who will not let Wisconsin take a step backward.”
After this official visit, where do things stand between Dietzen and the Badgers?
“I am 100 percent easily,” said Dietzen.
