Estes Chats with Chryst

Hearing from Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst over the weekend, San Marcos (CA) senior offensive tackle Kevin Estes gets good feedback with how he'll fit into the Badgers' offense

It was field day on all the Wisconsin commits when Gary Andersen left to go to Oregon State, and one of the commits that heard from tons of schools was San Marcos (CA) senior offensive tackle Kevin Estes.

Despite hearing from programs around the nation, the 6-5, 270-pound Estes has stayed loyal to his Wisconsin commitment and got to talk to Paul Chryst for the first time on Friday.

“Kevin called coach on Friday,” Mrs. Estes told BadgerNation. “Paul Chryst had called two weeks ago, but Kevin missed his call. He told Kevin he and the offensive coach would be out here in a couple of weeks. He told Kevin he had watched his film, loved his athleticism and that Kevin is going to love playing in Wisconsin."

After talking to Coach Chryst, how solid is the No. 52 ranked offensive tackle in the nation by to UW with schools coming after him?

“Kevin is still solid, but he just wants to meet the new offensive line coach,” said Mrs. Estes.

Defensive line coach Inoke Breckterfield is stopping by to see Estes today.
