Following the departure of cornerbacks X'zavien Ausborne and Takadrae Williams from the 2015 signing class, Wisconsin’s haul in Texas currently sits at two commits Dallas South Oak Cliff running back Jordan Stevenson and De Soto outside linebacker Chris Orr.
After Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst stopped by both prospects on Wednesday, Orr knows for certain that they won’t lose him.
“Coach Chryst came to see me yesterday, and I’ve also been in touch with Coach Aranda daily,” Orr told BadgerNation. “It went great. He was just saying it was good to meet me and he can’t wait until I get to Madison. They have the same plans for me to come in and play early. It was my first time meeting him in person, and I think he’s a great person with great character. I can’t wait to play for him. He’s a very cool guy, and I like him a lot.”
The 6-0, 190-pound defender is the No. 101 ranked outside linebacker and a three-star prospect by Scout.com. The standout linebacker was a leader for his team as a senior and a leader for this recruiting class, as he continues to talk to other commits that are still on the fence.
“I did talk to Jordan (Griffin),” said Orr. “We’re pretty tight. I just basically told him that I can’t wait until we are playing together on the field at the same time. Me and him just talked about how we could start something special. I think he does stick with Wisconsin.”
Orr isn’t quite done yet contacting Badger commits and has several others in mind.
“I have not yet talked to others on sticking, but I’m trying to,” said Orr. “I am going to contact Nate Howard and Jordan Stevenson. I’ve already talked to Jordan and he is going to be a Badger.”
