Chryst Again Targets Coleman

After being recruited by Paul Chryst's Pittsburgh staff, Pittsburgh Brashear cornerback Therran Coleman has now been offered by Chryst's Wisconsin staff.

It was evident from his travel patterns that junior cornerback Therran Coleman was a big fan of the Panthers, head coach Paul Chryst and his coaching staff.

The Pittsburgh Brashear two way standout camped twice at Pittsburgh last summer and took an unofficial visit to the campus. Needless to say the familiarity with the staff was there, especially with special teams coordinator Chris Haering.

Earlier this week, Wisconsin made its position known when Haering – now with the Badgers - offered him.

“I called Coach Haering and he put me on the phone with Coach (Daronte) Jones and he explained everything to me,” Coleman told BadgerNation. “I almost dropped my phone because I was jumping up and down. The day before Coach Haering said (the offer) was coming fast. It means a lot honestly.”

Described both as lengthy and athletic, the 6-2, 180-pound defensive back’s other offer is, not surprisingly, from Pittsburgh. Considering a good portion of Chryst’s Wisconsin staff was at Pittsburgh last season, Coleman has very high interest in the Badgers.

“I like the staff that I have talked to so far,” said Coleman. “The defense they run and the atmosphere should be pretty nice. I hope to visit in the beginning of the summer.”

Coleman currently has no teams standing out to him and his future visit plans are yet to be determined.
