King Visits Badgers

A tour of spring break visits just wrapped up for four-star defensive lineman Josh King, including a trip to Wisconsin.

Spring break is in the books for top junior defensive lineman Josh King of Hinsdale South (Ill.) made a swing of visits -- including one to kick off the spring to Wisconsin.

"My first visit was Michigan State then we hit Michigan that same day then we went to Penn State and then made it to Ohio State then before that we went to Wisconsin," King said.

Now, King is focused on wrestling for team Illinois -- a travel team that competes against the best prospects from surrounding states. King, the 3A 225-pound state champion in Illinois has had a very successful wrestling season during this football offseason.

On the recruiting trail though, was the 6-7, normally 240-pound prospects first trip to Madison and one that he learned quite a bit about the area.

"The Badgers I like their head coach, he is a guy that has a lot of experience. When I was chatting with him, he’s got bags under his eyes and this guy looks like he just stays in his office all day long. Madison is really quiet, the campus is beautiful and you can see the state capitol," King said.

As for a decision, a cut in King's list is coming likely soon.

"I will either a top five or top six probably sometime soon. I will either tweet it out or something," King said. "I’ll probably take like three or four officials, I don’t think that I will need all five of them. I will decide after my senior season."
