Alloway Sees Rich RB Tradition at Wisconsin

With Wisconsin having sent a running back to the NFL each of the last four years, Fontana (CA) Summit junior athlete Damian Alloway says the Badgers are a school he needs to check out in-depth.

One of the most dynamic and explosive players in the country is Fontana (CA) Summit junior wide receiver Damian Alloway. The lighting quick wide out is coveted by many teams, which has resulted in over double digits offers. He added another offer Friday and a big one from Wisconsin, which definitely caught him off guard.

“I had just got into fourth period and my coach came and got me out of class and took me to our weight room where (Coach Dave Aranda) was at,” Alloway told BadgerNation. “We talked for a few and he let me know about the offer. I was surprised because I never really had contact with them before this, but I was excited because I know this is a big offer.”

The 5-10, 170-pound Alloway sits as the No. 36 ranked wide receiver in the nation and a four-star recruit by Scout, but he has the ability to excel at running back in the next level. With the recent success Wisconsin has had at the position, Alloway is eager to check out Madison and possibly be the school’s next great tailback.

“I think I’m going to for sure take an official there and really look into them,” said Alloway. “I like that they’ve had premiere running backs come out of their school lately and their academics are really good. I don’t know how well they use their slots, but I can see myself playing running back there for sure.”

Although he has narrowed down his list of suitors to a few local programs, the addition of the Badger offer and other interested schools has Alloway in the process of rethinking his list.

“My list was UCLA and California but now with this Wisconsin offer and a few more I think are coming, that list might get bigger,” said Alloway. “UCLA is the only visit I have scheduled.”
