Only a sophmore, wide receiver Micah Jones of Warren (Ill.) Township is an athlete to watch.
He's got size, speed and athleticsm and took a visit to check out Wisconsin over the weekend.
"We got to talk to all the coaches and walk the weightroom and facilities. We got to go onto the field and watch warm-ups as well as see the jump around, which was awesome," Jones said.
Jones saw a lot that he liked about the Badgers offense in action.
"My favorite part of the wide receiver play was their great route running in the game, it helped them get open quite often," Jones said.
The facilites stood out to Jones as well as the proximity to Camp Randall and the rest of the athletic facilities.
"I loved the lockerroom and the weight room, plus just how close to the indoor facilities it is," Jones said. "It was also a great atmosphere. I think it was one of the best student sections and overall atmospheres at a game that I have seen."
The next visit up for Jones is to Notre Dame on October 10th. But first, Warren takes on Stevenson in one of the biggest tests of the season.
"The season is going well. We started off slow, but we picked it up and we are 3-2 right now," Jones said. "We have four really good receivers and we are spreading the ball around to make space for our running back Darrius Crump."
