Jacobs (Ill.) QB Chris Katrenick talks Wisconsin Visit

Jacobs (Ill.) junior quarterback Chris Katrenick visited Wisconsin over the weekend and gives his thoughts on the Badgers here.

Jacobs (Ill.) junior quarterback Chris Katrenick has an offer from Virginia under his belt and a weekend visit to Wisconsin, one that he was impressed by.

"We got to Madison about three and a half hours before game time so I was able to see all the fans and tailgating," Katrenick said. "Then we went to the recruiting tent which was cool and met a few coaches. Coach Budmayr then came and talked with my family and myself about the season and Wisconsin."

He added, "We also chatted about how I will stay in touch with him and how they will be down to see me in December. Then from there we went on the field and then experienced the awesome night game atmosphere in Camp Randall."

With that game experience, several things stood out to Katrenick.

"The student section was so organzied and loud, that was pretty cool and then of course the jump around was crazy. I also enjoyed the football side of things and seeing the Badgers win was a great thing," Katrenick said.

Specifically, Katrenick enjoyed seeing the offense live.

"I like the pro-style offense and the play action game. I think that Joel Stave played well and when he needed to make the throws he did. Overall it was a great game and both offense and defense were solid," Katrenick said.

With the time that Katrenick spent talking to Coach Budmayr he learned that the Badgers are definitely interested.

"He just told me how they have watched my film and love what I am doing. They want me back up there and I will be up there to visit again. He talked about how we will stay in touch, overal it was a great time," Katrenick said.

Katrenick plans to visit Michigan State, Indiana, head back to Wisconsin and also see Northwestern or Illinois.
