"I love what we have coming back. Our defensive line, we lose Jake Sprague, which is a huge loss, but we have guys who can fill his shoes, with guys like Jonathan Welsh and Darius Jones. I can't say enough about those two guys. One is my roommate, the other is one of my best friends on the team. Jonathan Welsh has done nothing but improve and get more freakier is an athlete. I don't know if that is the right English, but he has done nothing but improve. Darius—everybody has known about him since he walked on the field. He is a great athlete, a great player. He understands the game very well, he is very intelligent.

"Brett Bell has been improving quite a ways throughout the summer and throughout 7-on-7 workouts in the spring.

"Everybody else is pretty much back. Aiello has improved. Jimmy has improved. Starks has improved tremendously.

"Our linebacking corps, we have worked together a lot now and just kept on trying to get better, just kept on trying to stress every step along the way. "
