A week before national signing day, the University of Wisconsin might have added the final scholarship piece to its 2016 recruiting class.
Wanting to add cornerbacks to rebuild the program’s depth, Grand Prairie (TX) South cornerback Caesar Williams announced on Twitter Tuesday night that he was going to be a Badger.
Williams picked Wisconsin over finalists Indiana, Kansas State and SMU. He also held offers from Air Force, Army, Houston, Illinois and several others, but picked the Badgers based on his relationship with receivers coach Ted Gilmore, who recruited him, and the impression he got from the campus during his official visit to Madison the weekend of Jan.16.
Rated a three-star prospect and the No.86 cornerback in the country by Scout.com, Williams is the 26th commitment for Wisconsin and the third cornerback overall in the class of 2016.
