Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan cornerback Faion Hicks discusses why Wisconsin is an offer he highly covets.

Although sitting with eight offers, Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan cornerback Faion Hicks says a Wisconsin offer would make the Badgers tough to beat.

High on the wish list for Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan cornerback Faion Hicks is a Wisconsin offer.

"Wisconsin has it all,” Hicks said. “School, sports, academics and coaching staff. I can't wait to visit this summer. Their cornerbacks’ coach (Jim Leonhard) is a great guy, and we've been talking lately. He says he loves my game and says I'm near the top of the offer list."

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound athlete is a ball-hawking cornerback that uses speed to guard wide receivers, making him a perfect slot cornerback. Wisconsin watched him workout last week.

"They stopped by to scout my team and meet with me," Hicks said. "They got some transcripts from me and wanted to stop by. It would be my dream to get a Wisconsin offer, and if they offered, they would be very, very hard to beat."

Hicks has offers from Illinois, Miami (OH), Iowa State, among others. He wants to commit in early September.

"I'm playing 7-on-7, as well as hitting the gym big this summer,” Hicks said. “I want to get bigger and develop better agility and strength this offseason. Wisconsin said that’s what I should work on, so I will be heavily focusing on that this offseason.”
