Wisconsin closes in on the end of camp with quarterback race still neck and neck

Hear from redshirt freshman quarterback Alex Hornibrook and sophomore inside linebacker T.J. Edwards in today's Wisconsin practice report.

MADISON – With Wisconsin about to transition from fall camp into game preparations for No.5 LSU, the Badgers continue to approach the season opener with the quarterback race still undecided. Redshirt freshman Alex Hornibrook hasn’t taken notice.

“To be honest I haven’t put much thought into it, especially on the field,” he said after practice Monday. “We’re just playing. We’re not worried about it, because if you go out and do the best you can every day, it’s not going to change it if you think about it.”

Hornibrook and fifth-year senior Bart Houston – the main competitor to replace Joel Stave under center – had a pretty even practice Monday, fitting considering Hornibrook was the unofficial winner of week one and Houston appeared better in week two.
