Wisconsin announces seven mid-year enollees, including six prospects in its 2017 recruiting class

After only have two early enrollees a year ago, Wisconsin announced seven mid-year enrollees on Wednesday, including six prospects from the 2017 recruiting class.

Wisconsin announced nearly half of its 16-member 2017 signing class on Wednesday, as six committed prospects have signed early to join the football program in time for spring semester.

Sayville (N.Y.) quarterback Jack Coan, East Forsyth (N.C.) defensive back Madison Cone, Bolingbrook (Ill.) defensive end Izayah Green-May, Flanagan (Fla.) defensive back Faion Hicks, Middleton lineman Kayden Lyles and Iowa Western Community College defensive end Andrew Van Ginkel will be able to take part of winter conditioning and Wisconsin’s 15 spring football practices.

Wisconsin also announced Denver East athlete Deron Harrell as a mid-year enrollee. Harrell accepted a greyshirt offer and signed during the 2016 early signing period.

Wisconsin isn’t expected to sign any more prospects in its class. National signing day is Feb. 1.
