Badgers Football: Wisconsin tailbacks Chris James and Bradrick Shaw running confidently during spring

Wisconsin tailbacks Chris James and Bradrick Shaw continue their strong spring with a productive intrasquad scrimmage Friday.

MADISON – Tailbacks Chris James and Bradrick Shaw have yet to make a collegiate start. After three weeks of spring camp, both players appear primed to have a breakout season for Wisconsin’s offense.

James and Shaw both flashed during Wisconsin’s second spring scrimmage Friday and were easily the bright spots of the offense two weeks prior to the spring game.

Shaw – a redshirt sophomore – ran aggressively between the tackles and capped UW’s first-team offense’s second drive with a four-yard touchdown and was active in the pass game out of the backfield. James – a redshirt junior - ran with a sense of brutality. On the drive Shaw scored a touchdown on, James was wide open in the flat for a reception, did a wicked juke on Nick Nelson and held on to the ball after he was upended with a flip 47 yards down the field.
