Wisconsin sophomore forward Alando Tucker broke his right foot on Thursday, UW Sports Medicine reported. Tucker will be evaluated by the team orthopedist on Friday. Further medical care and treatment will be discussed with Tucker at that time.
Tucker played in all 32 games as a freshman, starting 27 of them. He finished the season third on the team in both scoring (12.0 ppg.) and rebounding (5.9 rpg.). A member of the Big Ten's all-freshman team, Tucker paced the conference in offensive rebounding 2.69 per game) and set a UW record for total offensive boards with 86. His .533 field goal percentage (139-261) topped the Badgers a year ago.
Wisconsin opens practice on Saturday, Oct. 18. The Badgers' first exhibition game is on Saturday, Nov. 8 and they open the regular season on Friday, Nov. 21 at Penn.
